Life Purpose

Life Purpose

Life Purpose has come up quite a lot recently for me and within my spiritual work and readings.  I am sure we all ask ourselves this on occasions in our lives.

What will be will be.  Your purpose will find you so save your energy and enjoy what you do have.  We all have choices in our lives and it is for us to choose.  Don't let your own fears stop you from achieving your dreams or making life changes to reach them.

We spend far too much wasted time worrying what people think of us when we should be using that time for more positive thoughts about ourselves.

If you’re not excited (or at least enthusiastic) in the morning, then you’re most likely not living your highest purpose. If you’re waking up a couple of days each week with a monotonous feeling of having to do “this” again today, that’s probably a sign that you’re “off purpose.” When you’re Living On Purpose, you wake up excited in the morning because a personally exciting life awaits you.

“For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: “If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the answer has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.” – Steve Jobs

If despite knowing that you have SO much to be grateful for, deep inside there’s a feeling that something’s missing in your life, then you’re most likely not connected to the meaning of life. If you’re doing a lot of the things that society suggests is “right,” but you still feel that something is wrong, that’s probably a sign that you’re “off purpose.” When you’re Living On Purpose, you’re entirely fulfilled because you’re living a life engulfed in personal meaning.

Ask Archangel Michael and your spiritual guides to help you when you need positive change and clear direction for the future.  You can make life full of purpose if you dare to be different and take life chances.

Create Miracles

Think of a time when you put a smile on someone's face, be it someone you know or a complete stranger.  Through an act of kindness, comforting words that really touched and helped someone.  You did it to make someone happy with no thought of getting something in return.  It doesn't matter how big or small the gesture was, but they expressed gratitude and thanks.  Remember how you felt at that moment.

Now, remember a time when someone showed you kindness at a time you most needed it.  Again it can be a complete stranger giving you a compliment, holding a door open or even a kind smile just when you needed it.  Try and recall as much as you can and how that made you feel at that time.  Did you express your gratitude?  Did it make you feel valued, noticed, no longer invisible, there are indeed good people in this world.

Consider the gratitude you felt towards another is the same gratitude another felt towards you.  It might be a feeling of light and peace and time when the world seemed right even if only for a moment.  The person to whom you was kind too, they now are feeling what you felt.  There are kind people in this world, people like you.

No matter what your life situation is like, what state your finances are or your relationships or your health.  This power to be good and kind can never be taken from you if you hold on to it.  No matter how much or how little you have, kindness is something you will always have.

This is why you come alive when someone shows you kindness and it's a reminder of your own innate nature. You may not be a CEO of a major company or a ruler of a country but you have a power similar to theirs.  A power to change the lives of others and it begins with one thought that I am good and I have the power to help others through my kindness.  Your smile can be passed on to another and in turn, they pass that good feeling to another and so it goes on and on.  Continuing a chain reaction that began with you.

So you do have the power to change thousands of lives for the better, understanding this will give you confidence knowing that acts of kindness no matter how small you are creating miracles. Let go of your limitations and accept your power and responsibility and shape the world into a more positive place.  It first begins with you!

5 Easy Ways to Quickly Manage Stress

5 Easy Ways to Quickly To Manage Stress

No matter how calm you try to stay, life is going to throw some stressful times at you. One day you might realise you totally forgot about a work presentation due in an hour while the other you might get a call from your child’s school about some issues your child is having. But whenever something like that happens and you start to tense up, there are things you can do to stop the stress in its tracks. Everyone is different, so try a few of these to see what works best for you:

And Breathe

The key here is using all of your lungs, not just the top part. When you take a relaxed diaphragmatic breath that expands into the lower part of your lungs, you get good oxygen exchange, your heart doesn’t have to work so hard, and your blood pressure and heart rate go down. Try it by taking a slow deep breath, expanding your chest and belly, while counting to four. Then, as you exhale, count back down to one. Do that three or four times and you will feel the benefits.

Put on your Happy Face

Smiling can be a quick, impact strategy because several of the muscles in the face are connected to the vagus nerve, which facilitates relaxation.  Can’t get yourself to actually grin in the moment? Try to imagine doing it. Even just thinking about smiling on the inside can gently stimulate those muscles to help you relax and may even cue a real smile.

Get your brain to help

If you’re in panic mode, I recommend something I call stop, breathe, reflect, choose, Here’s how it works: First, visualise an actual stop sign. Then take a few slow, deep breaths. Next, reflect by asking yourself what’s really going on and causing you to panic. Lastly, ask what you can do right now, in the moment, to help yourself feel better, like calling a friend or taking a walk. Your mind automatically goes to the worst case scenario, but that doesn’t do a lot of good. This process can help stop you from panicking.

With acute stress, you can’t always just think it away and tell yourself to calm down.  When stressed, your body acts as if there’s a physically dangerous situation, hence the fight-or-flight response. Doing something physical can make it a lot easier to calm down. Run around the block or do some high impact exercise like star jumps, or find some other burst of activity that will metabolise the stress response. The result: A calmer you.

I hope that has been helpful and if you have any feed back please get in touch. I am currently working with a several clients that have stress related issues, with some really good results. Hypnotherapy is a great way of taking control of stress. please book a Free Consultation on my contact page.

Benefit of Meditation

I wanted to share with you the benefits of meditation and by using meditation in your daily lives will make such a huge impact on your well-being.

The popularity of meditation is increasing as more people discover its benefits.

Meditation is a habitual process of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts.

You can use it to increase awareness of yourself and your surroundings. Many people think of it as a way to reduce stress and develop concentration.

People also use the practice to develop other beneficial habits and feelings, such as a positive mood and outlook, self-discipline, healthy sleep patterns and even increased pain tolerance.

10 health benefits of meditation

1. Reduces Stress.

2. Can Decrease Blood Pressure

3. Controls Anxiety

4. Promotes Emotional Health

5. Enhances Self-Awareness.

6. Lengthens Attention Span

7. May Reduce Age-Related Memory Loss

8. Can Generate Kindness

9. Helps Control Pain

10. Improves Sleep

Mental and physical stress cause increased levels of the stress hormone cortisol. This produces many of the harmful effects of stress, such as the release of inflammation-promoting chemicals called cytokines.

These effects can disrupt sleep, promote depression and anxiety, increase blood pressure and contribute to fatigue and cloudy thinking.

In an eight-week study, a meditation style called "mindfulness meditation" reduced the inflammatory response caused by stress.

Another study in nearly 1,300 adults demonstrated that meditation may decrease stress. Notably, this effect was strongest in individuals with the highest levels of stress.

Research has shown that meditation may also improve symptoms of stress-related conditions, including irritable bowel syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder and fibromyalgia. You can read the studies below for more information.,_Wait_List_Controlled_Clinical_Trial_.4.aspx

When I do my readings, spirit often gives meditation in part of the message for one reason or another.  I do share meditations with clients, in the hope that they will start to practice and feel benefits for themselves.

If you are suffering from any of the above, consider hypnotherapy.  I have had great success so far. Please see my reviews on my Facebook page.

Here is a very good meditation by Jason Stephenson which will help you keep your chakras (energy points in our bodies) open and healing and your sleep.

I hope you have enjoyed this information and feel free to leave a comment or share with your family and friends.
