Processing Emotions

I have recently had a lot of people around me going through emotional times and I felt guided to share with you the five steps of moving through emotions.

1. Notice, if your anxious or if your stressed or emotional
2. Acknowledge, the way your feeling, rather than push it away
3. Accept, the feelings you are experiencing, they are with you considering your situation and your triggers
4. Act, are there things you need to change to help yourself
5. Let Go, as you inhale, honour the presents of the feeling or feelings and as you exhale let it go on it's way

Processing emotions is about learning to understand, make sense of and deal with emotions in a healthy way. Emotion processing takes time to learn. You may initially feel nothing at all because you are so detached from your own emotions or so used to suppressing them. Emotional management needs patience and takes time to master, just like any other new skill.

Knowing how to handle a sensation or emotion is difficult. Speaking with someone whose judgement you can trust can be quite beneficial in gaining their opinion of the situation.

Certain emotions come from flawed thought processes or past trauma, so in order to let go of the emotions, you should work to reframe your thoughts in a more beneficial way.

I find writing in my journal helps me process my emotions and I ask the angels and spirit to help me release them and to move through the situation with the best possible outcome. Being positive in a negative situation is very difficult but it is also very rewarding in the end.
